If you’re the parent of a junior or senior and thinking about college, then these Get2College webinars are for you. Each webinar covers different material and targets parents of high school juniors and seniors, though it is open to everyone. Registrants will receive a link to the recorded webinar.

Webinar 1: How to Send Your Students to College Tuition-Free

Friday, December 8, 12-1 p.m. CT

For many low-income students, the state of Mississippi's HELP (Higher Education Legislative Plan) grant is the only way to afford a college education, fully covering tuition and fees at any public two-year or four-year college in the state. In this webinar, high school counselors will learn more about the eligibility requirements for HELP, as well as strategies for identifying and preparing HELP-eligible students.

Presenter: Cecilia Zahedi is a counselor at Gulfport High School, which has the highest number of HELP grant recipients in the state. She has worked at the school for 21 years, as an art teacher for 7 years and a counselor for 14.
