Virtual Learning Coordinator
Rankin has served in the Natchez-Adams School District as the guidance counselor at Robert Lewis Magnet School and central alternative school, interim district test coordinator, and site administrator at Ombudsman. From July 2017 until now she led Morgantown Middle School as administrative principal.
“As a district, we are excited about this new opportunity. I look forward to the accomplishments that will be achieved under her leadership.” said district public engagement coordinator Tony Fields.
Before joining the district in 2011, Rankin received her B.S. in Business Administration with concentration Human Resources from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, M.A.T. from Alcorn State University, M.S. in Guidance Counseling from Alcorn State University, and Mississippi Alternate Path to Quality School Leadership Completer Specialist in Educational Leadership from William Carey University.
“I am looking forward to taking the lead in establishing the virtual school program and working to ensure students are still afforded a quality education. I am looking forward to working with principals and teachers across the district to establish working relationships to make this process effective not only for students but for everyone.” Rankin said. “I want the parents and students of Natchez-Adams School District to know that every day is a new day of possibilities in virtual education. As the industry of education continues to evolve whether it be from state and federal regulations or a worldwide pandemic such as COVID-19, we as lifelong learners must be ready to embrace it for the sake of educating our leaders of tomorrow.”
