The Natchez-Adams School District provides FREE access to Microsoft Office 365 to every student and staff member in the district. The online suite includes Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneDrive for storage. Your NASD Office 365 subscription ends when your child leaves the district/school or your employment terminates.

good morning my name is Tamika Williams and I am one of the district's technology no technology facilitator and today I will show you how as a first time user how to setup your student Microsoft Office 365 account this is free to our students in the district so all students to have access to using the Office 365 account they just before at their first you do have to set up your account first so we'll go ahead and get started I do suggest getting started you open to open Google Chrome and open to different tab for your email the students School giving email and the second tab is the natchez-adams School District web page okay and so will go to parents and students resources and scroll to the bottom and in the right-hand panel you'll see Office 365 for students in once you click on it it does take you to a separate page that says access Office 365 online click on the link here this is where you will enter the students to provided email address the entire email address get started on this green you're going to select I'm a student the students first and last name going to create a password okay here before you can enter the verification code this is where you go back to the tab that has your email address the students email address open and you're going to use the the 6-digit code that Microsoft sent do not have to select this box and hit start give it a second to create the students account all right once you get past those or forget to close Windows those boxes that open for you at the creation or the beginning of that students account then create it and then you'll get to see the students dashboard okay and over to the left panel you'll see the different Microsoft apps that comes with the Office 365 account so friends since you have Word Excel PowerPoint and so with it being web-based what happens is in order to access these apps the student has to log into office each time okay and so busy tells you that tells you that you can add a shortcut to office.com on the desktop for quick access to Word and Excel and Word Excel and PowerPoint okay so which means you do not have to go and pull up a web browser and piping office.com each time you can what are the short shortcut on your desktop now another thing that the Office 365 account is the opportunity to download the apps onto a computer so fransens if you go out and purchase a new laptop when you come computer device for the student will normally when you purchase a computer you'll get off at 3 and will not Office 365 but you'll get Microsoft Office Suite but if a child. It's a child version so after 30 days that trial version expires and is no longer available you have to go out and purchase software or those applications but as long as the student is a student in the district and they do have access to their email and they will have access to these applications once the student is no longer a student in the district the student will no longer have access to those to these I'm applications so in order to install it to your device again you just click on install office select the first you can select your default of where that exe file will save want to download you can go through the process of you getting it installed I'm going to say no because I already have office on my device but that is the process of getting those applications installed on locally on the computer instead of logging in because of her again remember this way is it through the way up mean you have to have internet and internet connection apps are installed on your computer they don't use those applications offline okay again my name is Tamika Williams I am one of the instructional facilitators in the district if you need any further assistance with setting up the students ikaw feel free to reach out to me the information song what is my age and also my office number thank you and have a good day
