Greetings and welcome to the 2022 back to school parent orientation Morgantown Elementary School is the new home to Frazier Elementary School located at 101 Cottage Home Drive, Natchez, Mississippi our telephone number is 601-445-2885 The Natchez-Adams School District's mission is to nurture, engage, educate Inspire and prepare students to learn and leave as productive citizens. Will be accepted for a status of wanted two days a maximum of $0.05 per semester may be rich buy a parent Guardian for students in grades K through 12 absences due to death in the immediate family will be used with a parent note and a funeral announcement or obituary They must be submitted within 3 days second check out procedures students arriving on campus after the tardy Bell must report to the attend students who are tardy will not be permitted to check in without the presence of a parent or legal guardian check out the student in the presence of the office Personnel will be signed out by the parent/legal guardian who has been specified on the student registration form is required for check out students who earn seven or more parties in a semester will be required to appear before the district attendance Review Committee to discuss reasons for excessive parties and support that are needed students will not be made it to make up work missed when truant what does regular attendance mean I must attend school everyday unless there are Justified reason class schedules will be issued Tuesday. 26 between 4 and 5 p.m. and 5 and 6 p.m. for grades four through five if you register your child if you will be able to pick up their schedule important dates to remember for semester 1 July 28th and students first day of school for the 2023 school year you make a copy of the updated updated calendar September 2nd September 5th no school September 16th homecoming October 3rd through 7th fall in for those students who will be intercession October 10th 3:11 fall break October 14th report cards issued November 9th progress Sports issue November 21st through 25th Thanksgiving break at our winter break between December 21st to January 6th makeup work a student receive an incomplete and or a 04 in this assessment has two weeks to convert the incomplete grade to an iron grade makeup Shelby look for credit and grades for excused unexcused absences and external suspension makeup work suspensions and make up a student who is suspended from school she'll be allowed to make up any grated work missed during the time of suspension at a time designated by school officials the student will receive failing grade for any great works not completed or made up within the specified time Thomas and appropriate instruction provided prior to the app that make a work including major project is due on the day of return to the missed class in all cases the teacher must communicate to the student the nature of the outstanding work of limitation for completing an unusual cases with a student has missed a large edit contact the office at least one day in advance so the building principal can set a schedule the principal has the discretion to set reasonable parameters on leftist excetera visitor should limit their visit to the area of the building they have indicated a bond check in with the office unauthorized property explore rest of the legal action parent conferences must be scheduled at least one day in advance princesses candy schedule Wednesday Thursday Friday during the teachers planning. Students or eat in the cafeteria lunch brought from home must be in clear packaging no fast food candy or soda in the cafeteria electronic devices cell phones are to be in the off mode at all times during the school day hours from 7 the for confiscation a campus administrator Macy's an electronic device if a student refuses to give his or her electronic device to the administrative or his a hard as upon request this will be food as insubordination and the appropriate consequence will apply the district does not accept responsibility for lost or misplaced electronic devices the district will not be held responsible for any fees associated the device will be confiscated and the student pick it up at the end of the day the device will be confiscated and the parent conference will be required the device will be confiscated for 3 Days $25 fines and a parent just pick it up for violation the device will be confiscated for 5 days $50 fine and the pyramids pick it up use of electronic devices includes but is not limited to recording and or transmitting campus activities for fights bully other students who sings the social media during instructional time sea of students in Floyd if a phone is taken away from a student and with Reasonable Suspicion of behavior in violation of District policy or laufen state the school reserve the right to start the phone Grace Grace k standards-based report card requirements in grades two through five the grades are based on all assignments such as class work what is this process great writings and projects and homework the elementary schools K through five grading scale 93 180 6569 D 64 M below f a minimum of 11 grades seven and 4 shall be recorded in each academic course during each 9 week. Except for science and social studies Grace K school for 6th grade per quarter shall be recorded for science and social studies with no more than one of those Grace labeled as a homework break grading categories daily work and quizzes for way 50% of grade and must have a free content including major essays and major projects Will Wait 30% of the grade and must have to bring for Content end of the term exams will weigh 20% of the grade and must have a content promotion and retention students must meet the following requirements to be promoted to the next grade level reading proficiency Master 70% of the English language arts standards and master 70% of the mathematics standards in grades one through to a minimal yearly average of 65 in English language arts and Mathematics Grade Three a minimum yearly average of 65 in English language arts and math and successful completion of the lyrics device promotion act as outline and Senate Bill 2347 grades four through five a minimal final average of 65 in English language arts mathematics science and social studies multi-tiered systems of support mcss not a program strategy or trade it is a way of thinking and problem-solving to identify what kind of instruction each student response to best ncss is a thought process that is hopefully trying to answer the question how well are the students responding to the destruction how can we make it better for them it does this by identifying and interventions to help students meet expect a the following slide contains the MCS is flow chart for pre-k through 12 the purpose of a tears to help schools provide effective teaching and effective classroom so that all students are able to meet grade-level standards to provide help to students who are having difficulty in addition to what everyone get rapid and replacing it with something different allow schools to provide help to students that matches each student's needs dress code for learning the covid-19 pandemic the natchez-adams School District dress code is relaxed this year uniforms are optional non-uniform clothing must meet the following guidelines are required baggy pants no legs or tight tank tops or access the natchez-adams School District dress code discipline Behavior expectations students should be respectful to teachers staff and students students should always keep hands and feet to themselves did not run on the sidewalk they should always walk students to be respectful of the learning environment by keeping their voices at a level one while passing by other classrooms students fight in the restroom area and should help keep the bathroom clean student should help keep our campus clean by throwing away all trash the Natchez Adams school district has approved a disa Matrix for Services the school counselor is an integral part of the total school program The Counselor observes children consult with teachers social workers if applicable and the school nurse gathers and provides resources conduct classroom lessons elaborates on classroom interventions for joint parent or Guardian conferences use and interpret School record and serve on committees that plan for the
