Meet the Counselor

Greetings!

    My name is Kendra Williams, and I will be your new counselor at Robert Lewis Magnet School. I am a graduate of Alcorn State University and Lamar University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology Education and a master’s degree in School Counseling.

     As a counselor, my primary goal will be to provide a comprehensive counseling program that supports the whole child. I will focus on the needs, interests, and issues related to all students' personal, social-emotional, academic, and college/career development. I will advocate, collaborate and facilitate actions that promote a positive school climate. I will work diligently to help all students meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

I believe that all students can be successful when given appropriate support and resources. I will work with students through classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling throughout the year. I will constantly collaborate with parents, teachers, and administration to ensure that each student’s unique needs are being met in and outside of the classroom settings.

     I have an open-door policy, so please feel free to stop by or call at any time. I will be happy to assist each of you.
