We will be available to meet with any student in crisis. We have an open door policy for students. However, we will make every attempt not to interrupt core academic classes whenever possible for non-emergency situations. Please, be aware there may be a time when we may speak with your child due to a self-referral, student referral, teacher/staff referral, or administrative referral. The Gilmer McLaurin Elementary Counseling Department is a safe space where ALL students are welcome.
