Kishara T. Wiley-Bassett Named Interim Director Of Exceptional Services

KiShara T. Wiley- Bassett is an 11-year veteran educator who has spent the last five years with the Natchez Adams School District. Bassett has served as a Case Manager and Assistant Director before her transition as the Interim Director of Exceptional Services. A strong advocate for students and families, KiShara has worked to establish a culture of collaboration amongst all stakeholders for students with disabilities with a learner-centered approach to education to maximize the potential of every student served in the Natchez Adams School District. She also served as a Secondary Inclusion Teacher in Jefferson County Public Schools (Fayette, MS), Special Education Teacher, Secondary Math and Science Teacher (Tensas Parish, LA).
 
Educational degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alcorn State University- Lorman, MS, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Portland OR, and an Educational Specialist in Administration and Supervision from Delta State University- Cleveland MS.
