Family, former students, sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha and mentees gather at Gilmer McLaurin Elementary School in honor of retired NASD teacher, Willie Mae Jones. Her family was presented with a plaque in her memory. After hearing how Jones impacted the lives of many, pink and green balloons were released.
