Peer Pressure and Bullying Youth Summit

“Resisting Risky Behaviors” is the theme for the summit with breakout sessions on Psychological Issues and Suicide, Healthy Relationships, Peer Pressure, Gang-related Violence and Cyber Bullying. Deputy Superintendent Zandra McDonald will discuss the anti-bullying policy and express the District’s strong stance against bullying in any form. Other guest speakers will be Mrs. LLJuna Weir, Director of Educational Equity and Inclusion at Alcorn State University; Mr. Mike Lazarus, Adams County Board of Supervisors; Gerald Jones, Director of County Operations, Alcorn State University Extension Program; and Bishop Robert Cade, Word of Faith AWC.

This community minded event is proudly sponsored by the Adams County Board of Supervisors, City of Natchez, Natchez Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff Department. Organizers and sponsors hope the event will help students use their voice to weigh in on the conversation of bullying and to understand that bullying should not be accepted by anyone, anywhere, at any age.
