The Natchez-Adams School District provides FREE access to Microsoft Office 365 to every student and staff member in the district. The online suite includes Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneDrive for storage. Your NASD Office 365 subscription ends when your child leaves the district/school or your employment terminates.

good morning my name is Tamika Williams I am one of the district's instructional technology facilitators and this and I will walk you through as a new user how to access Microsoft Office free this is a free account that is set up for both velvety and students now one thing with Office 365 with a lot of our apps as long as you are employed with the district you have access to your apps in your accounts but once I'm no longer with the district even though Office 365 or those applications will be downloaded or can be downloaded to your device they'll no longer be available once you're no longer with the district and as I mentioned just a second ago even though you are accessing Office 365 in the cloud or web-based meaning access through a website the website you still have the option to download those apps speaking of the entire Suite of Office Products so that includes word PowerPoint Excel it also OneDrive which is Microsoft online online cloud storage so we'll go ahead and get started the first thing you need to do is open a browser and type in the Natchez Adams School District website okay so you can click the link parents and students resources scroll to the bottom until you see Office 365 for students and staff in this right panel okay click on the link that says access Office 365 online give you a will give you a short form and ask you to include your your name and a password versus is asking for your email address of this issue our district provided email address I feel like that my teacher you don't have to select this I never do hit start Medi create your account okay so this is what your dashboard looks like you have your over to the left in the left panel you have your different apps now again as of right now we're looking at the web portal the online oh office where you have your apps over to the left but in order to install I wanted to install the application on your device you're going to select office install office and so the great thing about this is that if you purchase a new device a new personal device at home and we know that with the new devices that we purchase Microsoft Office only give you like a 30-day trial. And then office is no longer available to you well with your free subscription with the district able to install once you log into your account you're able to install those applications on their device so you do not have to go out and purchase Microsoft Office so we just to Lake office BiPAP and I'm not going to go through the process because I already have office on my device on my computer but you would just hit save for the down once it downloads you selected and let it run okay with your online web portal of office you're able to create Excel Excel Excel documents PowerPoint you have a few more answers out there busy Prince wife and they will all of your documents will be saved in the cloud saying we stayed anywhere documents in Excel documents that you create saved here saved here you're only able to access now once you log into your account but if you download if you choose to download the apps then you won't have to go to the office website I have a lockout but you wouldn't have to go to the office login screen get to your portal you can actually go you know where your applications are stored click on word or Excel and actually run lots and running and work in that program without login and again remember that even though you install those applications on your personal device they are accessible to you as long as you are you know employed with the district but once you're no longer employed those apps will not work because they are linked to your email address I want your email address is this the applications will not work for you and I'm one of the instructional technology facilitators you have any questions or need any additional assistance I am including my email and also my office number and you can feel free to give me a call I hope this video helps with our new user these applications have been made available to us for our students and also the teachers in the again the greatest the biggest theme is that you're able to actually download these applications Word and Excel on your personal devices and use them at home thank you and have a good day
