Welcome back to another episode of Google tech tips. I am Mr. Vaca in I'll be going over a very brief tutorial of Google classroom in all of the awesome different functions and abilities that it has and some of the questions that both students and parents have asked me over the summer. So to get to Google Classroom the very first thing that you need to do is log into your Google account. My first step is go to google.com I want you to click on what I like to call the Waffle iron, that waffle iron in the very top right corner up here. Then you want to search for the icon that looks just like this Google Classroom. If you can't find it there might be a little button down below after the last row of apps that says show more. If you click show more you will send find Google pop-up below. Once you click that icon you will then be sent to your Google Classroom homepage. This is what a student's classroom looks like. If you are in middle school or high school level or if you bounce between different classrooms each subject with a different teacher. If you are a Elementary or primary student you will most likely have only one classroom which means you'd only see one box here. Each one of these boxes is a different classroom if you were a middle school or high school student. Let's take a look at one of the classrooms where I am the student. What you want to do is click on the title of the class to go specifically to that classroom. So this is the student view of the classroom. I am a student, a member of the science committee and the science department chair is the teacher for this classroom as you can see right here the big main section is all of the different post announcements and big items that are coming up in the classroom. This is like what you would say is a Facebook feed or a Twitter feed where you will see chronologically all the different things are activities going on in the classroom. The left hand side of the screen is broken into three categories. Top box in the top left corner shows what work is due soon, the next upcoming assignment. Right below the box you will then see another section that has classroom folder, classroom count, and your Google calendar. The teacher will put either the syllabus or other classroom materials maybe their hand out in the Google Classroom folder. So any materials that you made a mess, if you were absent, you click on that and you will see sing. The teachers posted they also will have in their classroom schedule a classroom calendar all the different that diamonds when they are due maybe special events in there and you can get that through your Google calendar located below so that when you open up your calendar you can see hey this class is due, this class  IS items due so on and so forth. The final box in the left side is the biggest one. It is all of the different topics going on in the class. Maybe the teacher has broke it up into different groups. Maybe it's all the different reading groups within a classroom and so a group of you will have a specific project that they're working on or maybe they want to talk about the brand new discussion coming up in the next week. so soon can easily map get the different topics going on in the classroom in this section below some features will break up their topic section by introduction syllabus different project other teachers will have every lesson is a different topic section will really be dependent on your teacher if you want to go back to see the other classes that you are enrolled in all you want to do is click the three horizontal wind in the top left corner and that will bring another you down and you could choose your class right from there what if you wanted to go back to the Google Classroom homepage just click the tab that says class and that's it for today. Google Classroom is a very easy way to keep track of all the different assignments that you have coming up and keep yourself organized. I'm so exciting you're joining me today we're going to learn about how to submit assignments in Google Classroom so if you could real quick hit that red subscribe button. So I'm going to show you what this looks like if you are a student this  will help you learn how to submit assignments. If you are a teacher than you can understand what your students go through supposed to see in your classroom and that way students can use it as a reference for how to submit assignments. Okay so go over here and I'm going to go from stream to class work. and I'm going to go in here and I'm going to look at my assignment. So these I've already turned in this one has been assigned you see I can say that because it's a little bit darker here on this note and then I'm going to go in and I'm going to see the assignment these are my instructions at the history test on Middle Ages I can actually click on my dock so looks like my teacher when I did this to wear it created a copy of the template for everybody describe in details structure in the Wilds used it was pretty complicated okay and then I can say explain the impact of the Crusades on Europe. Kind of a big deal. Okay right here is where I can turn that in now. So here I can turn it in as well. So you have two options so I again if it brought me my document whenever I start typing I can hit turn in or whenever I can go to where I just showed you. Here I can claim you assignment and I can go in here. Okay I have 2 private comments on here "you need to finish this now, you're about to fail" this is the best this one so I can also add in a comment for the class I don't need to do that right here but that we are so I can also add in more assignments to it so can I add a more docks that would help support my argument and then hit turn in now if I had turned in here is just going to turn in the doc here is going to add to it so keep that in mind whenever you're looking at it so there we go I don't know which one, should we turn in what do it from here because that's usually what you're going to do as a student. You just need to complete the assignment that is if they give you one. Hit turn in, boom it's been turned in. I hit submitted, it is for checking to make sure I don't need to add anything. I'm going to say sure turning in. Did you see that go, so either way it would have done that I can hit unsubmit if that's an option and you are good to go.
