Meet the Administration
Early childhood education is paramount to a child’s educational foundation, therefore, I am confident we have the right people in the right seats on the bus at West to prepare our students to be able to succeed. I have been in education for 22 years and with my experience, I have learned that it definitely takes a village to raise our children. With that being said, I invite you to share in the experiences of your children’s education and let’s make our home-school connection a great one.
Serving in Natchez-Adams School District for 10 years, Memphis City Schools, Shelby County Schools, Wilkinson County Schools, and the Catholic Diocese of Jackson for a total of 22 years, has given me the experience to work with children and adults in multiple capacities. I am a 1997 Cathedral High School honor graduate, received a B.S. in Biology from Tougaloo College, M.S. in Elementary Education (2001), M.A.T. (2003), and BSN (2015) from Alcorn State University, and PhD from Jackson State University in Educational Leadership & Supervision in 2007.
Warren Bennis said, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” My vision for this year is that we “Leap into Learning” with 100% commitment and dedication for our students at Susie B. West Elementary School, therefore that vision will translate into reality and our students will be truly successful.
